Sarah Bernhardt makes culturally and philosophically expansive work that is aesthetically subtle and often purely gestural. Employing loaded materials that come with their own cultural and historical importance, she works with film, installation and sculpture to trace around these histories while critically evaluating their foundation. Particularly interested in microhistory and institutional critique, each work seems to exhaust itself. She is working on an oral history on the work of Michael Asher.`

During the deinstallation of the solo show, 'like all your favourite entries from the urban dictionary in a font you hate' at Castor, two wolves were placed within the confines of the gallery. The work touches on epic work made by Joseph Beuys but is self-consciously anticlimactic.
