CLAIRE BAILY
Claire Baily is interested in the cross over of art, design and craft is evident in the production of the finely crafted components that make up her sculptural practice. Looking to design magazines and luxury architecture and interiors for inspiration, Baily’s works are stoically ambiguous, asking the viewer to question what it is they are looking at and the context in which it sits. Combining technological processes of making with age old casting techniques Baily’s work often results in high finish objects which form an essential part of her vocabulary.
